Crazy-Assed Teapublican accuses Dems of waging a “War on Whites”.

No, I’m not kidding. Sad to say, this is not satire. Not intentionally, anyway:

Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) doesn’t think that the hardline stance Republicans have taken on immigration could hurt the party’s standing with Hispanic voters. Instead, he thinks Democrats are hurting their prospects with white voters.

“This is a part of the war on whites that’s being launched by the Democratic Party. And the way in which they’re launching this war is by claiming that whites hate everybody else,” he said during an interview Monday with conservative radio host Laura Ingraham. “It’s part of the strategy that Barack Obama implemented in 2008, continued in 2012, where he divides us all on race, on sex, greed, envy, class warfare, all those kinds of things. Well that’s not true.”

Christ on a bread roll, really? No, I mean seriously, really? These Obama-hating racist fuckwits are accusing DEMS of racism?

The Republican Party is Now Officially, Totally, Clinically Insane.

The four most recent Teapublican-related news items to hit my newsfeed (which draws from at least ten different sources) demonstrate that factual validity, accuracy, sense and indeed sanity no longer have a place in the party of my forefathers:

Michele Bachmann (R-Loony Bin) is conflating starving, traumatized illegal immigrant children with rapists and invaders:

“Foreign nationals that have come into the United States are between 300- to 500,000,” Bachmann told an incredulous Crossfire co-host Van Jones. “My heart is broken for a female college student in Minnesota who was raped, murdered and mutilated by a foreign national who came into our country.”

Todd “Legitimate Rape” Akin is now accusing the Repubs of sabotaging his campaign because, well, I’m not quite sure, but Kray-Kray is clearly involved:

Former Missouri Rep. Todd Akin continues his comeback tour today with an interview with the Daily Caller, in which he blames his 2012 Senate loss on “the direct attacks of the Republican Party leadership on our campaign,” which he says were part of the party establishment’s effort to push an “anti-American agenda.”

Akin claims his own party sunk his campaign with “censorship of the truth” because they were afraid of the “elite liberal media.”

Akin, for his part, was apparently merely trying to generate “patriotism in the hearts of Americans” when he claimed that survivors of “legitimate rape” do not become pregnant.

Open Carry Texas, a load of Teabagging, seditious, racist fuckwits, is planning to march through a black neighborhood, brandishing their long guns at the law-abiding locals.

Open Carry Texas, a gun rights advocacy group, announced that they have scheduled their march through the Fifth Ward in Houston. The march, which was initially scheduled for Juneteenth but postponed at the last minute, will feature open-carry enthusiasts marching through the streets of the predominantly black Houston neighborhood carrying long assault rifles.

Open Carry Texas also announced that they’ll have a real-life black person marching with them, Maurice Muhammad. As Liberaland pointed out, Muhammad is a radical who promotes the killing of police officers on his Facebook page. He also is apparently the leader of a group that openly wishes for a race war. Liberaland also pointed out that OCT’s blog entry is more about Grisham’s own issues with the law than his concerns about the black community. While he talks a big game about unfair laws regarding gun ownership, and he positions himself as some kind of civil rights fighter, the reality is that he himself has a conviction on his record and cannot apply for a conceal-carry license.

And it turns out that Republican women think they themselves are too stupid to understand basic math, so men need to dumb down their speech so women can understand it:

““Men do tend to talk about things on a much higher level,” Ellmers said. “Many of my male colleagues, when they go to the House floor, you know, they’ve got some pie chart or graph behind them and they’re talking about trillions of dollars and how, you know, the debt is awful…We need our male colleagues to understand that if you can bring it down to a woman’s level and what everything that she is balancing in her life — that’s the way to go,”.

Four news articles in a row. Nary a one of them involving rational, substantive, fact-based foreign or domestic policy. All of them involving lunatics saying lunatic things. And honestly, I can hardly remember when this sort of psychopathology didn’t dominate Republican party discourse.

The lot of them need medicated, treated, and counseled so they can become productive, useful members of society. Because right now, the inmates have escaped the asylum and have taken over much of our government, and most of our media. Anybody know where we can get bulk discounts on Haldol and EST?

Business is business: time to take action on climate change.

We’re talking business now, people: global climate change is gonna cost billions upon billions of dollars, wipe out real estate, destroy infrastructure and take a big bite out of productivity.
From the article:

The study concludes that within the next 15 years, higher sea levels, storm surges and hurricanes could raise the annual price tag for coastal damage along the East Coast and the Gulf of Mexico to $35 billion. Some Midwestern and Southern agricultural areas could see a decline in yields of more than 10% over the next five to 25 years due to increased drought and flooding, unless farmers adapt their crops, according to the study.

Kinda hard to work outside if the temps are too high. Kinda hard to run your business if it’s flooding on a regular basis. Kinda hard to get your goods to market if the roads and rails are submerged or degraded. We’re talking Econ 101 here, peeps.

It’s one thing for politicians to pretend there’s no such thing as climate change: after all, politicians have a different definition of “profit” than do business folks. But the rest of us who live on money and profit literally cannot afford to pretend. Shit’s getting real. Shit’s costing real money.

Hint to the GOP: you can pander to the religious loons and dentally-challenged culture-warriors all you want, but you need money to win elections. The business community knows this: Climate. Change. Is. Real. And they want action. They’ll get it it from the Dems if the Repubs won’t come across.

A Conservative leader admits it: their goal is to destroy our national government.

David Brooks, writing from within his pampered, insular, ignorant little bubble-world, has always been an elitist windbag. And in his recent column, that wind has, amid the stench that always accompanies the breaking of wind, revealed the true agenda of American “conservativism”: the destruction of American democracy and its replacement by a government of the elitist, by the elitist, and for the elitist. Click here and read for yourself.

As is often the case, the stated reasons for the sedition du jour are seemingly benign: to innovate, and create a more nimble and responsive government. But the method reveals the problem: conservatives want to seize power and cram their “solutions” down our collective throats:

The process of change would be unapologetically elitist. Gather small groups of the great and the good together to hammer out bipartisan reforms — on immigration, entitlement reform, a social mobility agenda, etc. — and then rally establishment opinion to browbeat the plans through.

They propose an an autocratic government at the national level, and leaving us to fend for ourselves at the local level:

If the Guardian State’s big advantage is speed at the top, democracy’s is speed at the bottom. So, obviously, the elite commissions should push proposals that magnify that advantage: which push control over poverty programs to local charities; which push educational diversity through charter schools; which introduce more market mechanisms into public provision of, say, health care, to spread power to consumers.

In other words, they take our tax money, line their pockets with it, give us nothing in return, and take away our Constitutional rights into the bargain. AMFYOYO (Adios Motherfuckers, You’re On Your Own) is at the heart of this treasonous plot, which speaks glowingly of places like China: authoritarian regimes that abuse their subjects.  When someone wishes to emulate a country that rips living babies from their unconsenting mothers’  wombs and drives tanks over the bodies of peaceful protestors, that someone is NOT fit to govern so much as a single Porta-Potty, much less our nation.

At least David Brooks was honest (or stupid) enough to let the Right’s true intentions be known. Now that we know what the GOP plans to do, it is time for Americans to reject this dictatorial and unconstitutional future: by sending these traitorous, profiteering scum packing, and electing some pro-constitution representatives to replace them.
